Tinkerbot Expand The Spookiness Of Ghostel
March 28, 2019 by dracs
Tinkerbot have released the expansions for their kooky, spooky, game Ghostel.
Ghostel is a family-friendly, semi-cooperative board game where players take on the role of ghosts haunting an old hotel and work to scare away the guests who try to spend the night.
There are currently two expansions available for the game. The Trick or Treaters expansion sets the game on Halloween night and sees the hotel invaded by costumed kids.
These guests have come looking for scares, and maybe to do a bit of scaring themselves. You can bring them in on some of your ghostly goings-on in return for candy. But ye who live by the candy-crazed-kid shall die by the candy-crazed-kid, and their allegiance can be quickly bought away by your opponent.
The second expansion focuses on quality family time... in a haunted mansion.
In Family Values, whole families have come to the hotel. Scaring them not only scores you points, but you get to keep their guest card, with more points going to you at the end of the game based on how many members of each family you scared.
Tinkerbot are bundling both expansions together, along with Solo Mode cards and five Legendary Guests, for figures such as Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster.
Ghostel is a game that I would love to play. It is right up my street with that fun vibe of (as Cass might put it) spoopiness.
You can find out more about the expansions here.
If you were a ghost, how would you scare people out of your hotel?

It’s nice to see the expansions being released to the public. I’m pretty sire there will be copies available at UKGE this year
