Take A Look At The Tiles For Warhammer Quest: Cursed City
March 10, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop continues to uncover more from the innards of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City and this week it was time for the tiles to shine. See what you make of the new locations they've designed for Ulfenkarn in their Fantasy board game.

I generally agree with the article that popped up alongside these images in that these are some wonderfully detailed tiles. I really like that we've got both interiors and exterior locations for one. Outside, things are bathed in a pale moonlight whilst within you have the flicker of candlelight and the warmth of abodes that at one time were once full of life.
I also like that the tiles are laden with gruesome little details here and there speaking to the fall of the city of Ulfenkarn and the undead that now walk the streets.

Splashes of blood are mixed with scenes of violence which are no doubt going to be very appropriate for your own adventures within The Cursed City. The artstyle for the tiles also reminds me of classic Warhammer Quest which is always a bonus.

The previous editions of Warhammer Quest have also been packed with detail, even as far pack as the mad aesthetic of The Silver Tower. I really liked what they did with all of the colours throughout those tiles and the same goes for Shadows Over Hammerhal. Blackstone Fortress also sported really interesting designs which brought the tabletop to life.
I am eagerly awaiting news of the release of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City and will be playing it with my friends once we're all out of lockdown. I just hope that if Games Workshop do a set of appropriate scenic bases for this game that they come out sooner rather than later!
Are you liking the new tile design?

I see a whole lotta blue bricks and three moderately interesting interior tiles. Rating: 6/10
I like tiles…. tiles bring order…
Looks good
So in essence you get 14 tiles give or take? Clearly you can flip them over, so that’s, 28 tiles?
The minis look great, but I am not seeing a lot of board space with this.
But then I suppose there might only be like 4 scenarios so 28 tiles might be plenty.
Does that seem like a lot or a little to people?
In the above picture you have 3 “indoor” tiles… so first thing i thought was – make form core buildings to fit around the tiles..!! Find some lamp posts.. barrels… should look lovely….

Woah! Thanks for that townscape link!!! I know there are a lot of cardboard buildings around even for free. But with WH written on it it somehow “feels” more WH. Another flash from the past.
How about these..all done…mmmmmmm
