Terraform Mars Once Again But With A Card Game Instead!
January 19, 2021 by brennon
Terraforming Mars, one of the biggest board games of the last few years, is going to be returning to tabletops as a card game. Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition will have you landing on Mars to terraform it all over again.
Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition // FryxGames
Ares Expedition is going to an engine-building game which will have players controlling interplanetary corporations. Your goal is to make Mars habitable and profitable in equal measure. That could mean via nefarious means or perhaps you're the perfect model of a forward-thinking Earth. Maybe you could mix it up a bit?
The game will play with between one and four players and swings in around the forty-five or sixty-minute mark. This makes it a lot quicker to play than its board game counterpart although I don't think I ever trust the times on these boxes!
Ares Expedition is going to be coming to Kickstarter pretty soon so watch out for more information on this one.
Are you a big fan of the original Terraforming Mars?

I always wanted to buy Terraforming mars, maybe I’ll back this KS.
It’s a great board game. I am very intrigued by the card game option they have here. Will be keeping an eye on gameplay videos.
Good to knoq, maybe there will be a chance to get the boardgame at a reduced price in the pledge manager for this campaign.
Why wait for a KS to ship, when you can buy the board game in the shop right now? It is a great game.
I backed the last Kickstarter for the Turmoil expansion for the board game and went all in. I now have lots of Terraforming Mars goodness (all the expansions) that I haven’t been able to play because of lockdown(s). Typical!
I might still back this though. A card game is much easier to transport round to a friends to play when I’m allowed out in public again!
Never played the game but does sound interesting.
