It is not the first time that Super Mario has crossed over from the console to the tabletop into popular and mainstream game systems. Leaping his way onto Monopoly, Uno and even Jenja previously. The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition is the newest to the pool. Hasbro Gaming and Nintendo have teamed up to help Mario get his life in order.

The Game of Life: Super Mario is certainly different to the Game of Life that you would be used to. As opposed to building a life with a job, family, etc. Players will attempt and attack on Bowser's castle to stop the unfolding chaos, and disallowing him from capturing the damsel in distress, Princess Peach.

Players will embark on an adventure as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach or Yoshi, making their way through the beloved and infamous Mushroom Kingdom, eventually making their way up to Bowser's castle for the final boss fight.

Players will make their way across the board, as they hoard iconic Super Mario items, such as coins, power-ups, items and companions. These companions will be familiar to you if you are a fan of the Super Mario franchise. As characters such as Rosalina, Dokey Kong and Toad are prepared to come to your rescue.

The wheel allows mini-games on the board, which reminds me of a classic game of Super Mario Party. These include thumb wars and rock-paper-scissors which is a fantastic way to keep the engagement fresh and exciting when playing with a full family.

As this game will be available for the mass market, you can pick up the newly-themed Game of Life from August 1st from a range of major retailers, offline and in-store.

Maybe the Game of Life will help Mario out a bit. He seems to be making the same mistake of letting his Princess being captured over and over again. Anybody considered getting Princess Peach a dog? I don't think the plumbers are doing a very good job!
