Deep Water Games are now looking to launch their board game, 7 Summits. In this board game, you play as climbing teams who are looking to tackle the highest peak on each of the seven continents.

The game was designed by Daryl Andrews and Adrian Adamescu and features pretty stunning army by Kwanchai and Sean Seal. The game works for between two-to-five players and has been designed as a great family game to play around the tabletop.

During the game, which lasts around half an hour to forty miniatures, you'll be pushing your luck and drafting dice to see if you can make it to the top of each peak before its too late. You can also take advantage of upgraded equipment between each of your climbs and a skill tree which allows you to specialise your group.

I really like an older game called K2 which is all about you and your climbing team working their way up the eponymous mountain. It's a lot of good fun and has push your luck mechanics worked into its core gameplay. It will be interesting to get a look at 7 Summits in more detail and work out if it's worth picking this up as well to get a different experience. I think my Dad might even enjoy this one!

What do you make of 7 Summits and its challenge?
