TableTop Episode 12: Dixit
September 11, 2012 by dracs
While we were away in England another episode of Wil Wheaton's great show TableTop appeared. This time Wil and co. are looking at a game of imaginative story telling: Dixit.
In Dixit, each player is given a selection of beautifully illustrated cards. Each round one player acts as the story teller, describing a card in any way they want. The other players then choose one of their own cards which they think best matches the description given by the story teller. These cards are then mixed up and the players must vote on which one they think is the story teller's card.
In this week's episode, Wil is joined by Leo Chu, Casey McKinnon and Beth Riesgraf as they play through this award winning game of creative guess work to create yet another entertaining episode of TableTop.
Have any of you played Dixit before? Do you think you will give it a shot?
Great episode of what looks to be a nice fun game. I am very tempted to pick this up for our more creative members of the gaming group. Would be fun to see what they come up with.
Also, there is a bit of a Munchkin ‘cheat’ moment in this game…see if you folks can spot it lol.

That’s a great game… Really !
But as you tend to play with the same people a lot, you quickly run out of cards and references. there’s an add-on (more cards) and an expansion, I hear.
The ideal solution is to play with different people… That’s why it’s one of my go-to games for playing with new gamers or strangers : there’s almost no rules, and you quickly share cultural references in a fun way !
Dixit : It’s new people that make it rich !
