Super Chibi A.C.E. Brings Old School Fighting To Kickstarter
March 8, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
Select your fighter! Round One! FIGHT! MidKnight Heroes has launched their a limited edition game that pays homage to the old school 2D fighting games of old.
You know the ones I'm talking about - the games you would stand in line as a kid with your quarter on the machine for next game.
Super Chibi A.C.E (arcade combat engine), is a new system that is designed to match the experience of playing an old school, 2D fighting game, locked in a mortal combat on a board. Players will use a fifty-four card Control Deck to move their character, perform moves and create combos to defeat the opponent. The first to win two rounds wins the match.
Cards will feature joystick and button cards, allowing you to choose the way your player will move and fight on the tabletop.
Super Chibi Ace will come with two default characters, Shin the Urban Ninja of Sector 7 and Absolute Valentine, the vigilante of Sector 7. Both will come with designed moves ready for play. Don’t like those characters? That’s ok, you can create your own!
That's right. The rules come with instructions to make any of your favourite minis into a new character for the game, so you can use the predesigned moves, or let your imagination run wild and create your own.
This looks like it could be a great game, drawing on the fighting genre to deliver something neat for the tabletop.
What do you think of some old school fighting on the table top?
