Steamforged Games are previewing some more of the details about Resident Evil 2: The Board Game. Leading the way we had a look at two of the characters, Claire Redfield...

Claire Redfield

...and Leon S. Kennedy. Claire Redfield acts as a supporting character in the game and has the ability to not only suffer damage to heal others but also get their of their conditions too. She's not a bad shot either!

Leon Kennedy

Whilst he is a new police officer in Racoon City he is still able to keep a cool head when in the midst of combat. He will be able to fire without penalties when surrounded by zombies, wherever they might be.

The Monsters

One of the monsters that dwells in the darkness and alleyways is The Licker which you might remember slamming into the window of the police station early in the game.

Additionally, they also showed off the stat card for the regular Zombies that are shuffling around, soaking up your bullets.

Zombie Stat Card

"The Zombie might be the first enemy the players will encounter but definitely encapsulates this. In the original RE2 video game, Zombies were slow, relatively weak, and didn’t inflict a lot of damage if they managed to get their hands (or teeth) on a character – and in the Resident Evil™ 2: Board Game, the zombie is very similar.

Looking at the profile we can see that Zombies are Movement 1, can only sustain 1 Hit Point before they are killed, and only inflict 1 damage if they successfully hit a character. Doesn’t sound too scary, right?"

You can find out more about the zombies over on the link above. They seem like they are going to be easy to deal with singularly and yet terrifying when they're ganging up.

What do you think of the Resident Evil game so far?
