Steamforged Games has announced that this November, they are releasing two new revised Core Sets for Dark Souls: The Board Game. Each of them will be standalone but will be compatible with existing Dark Souls: The Board Game material.

Tomb Of Giants - Dark Souls The Board Game

The two Core Sets will be Tomb Of Giants and Painted World of Ariamis and have been updated after collaboration with the community that has been playing the original board game. The idea is that these sets introduce new ways to experience Dark Souls: The Board Game for those arriving for the first time plus a way to expand things as a returning player.

Included within these new sets will be a new Event System, Objective Card Deck, streamlined Campaign Rules, Puzzle-Based Gameplay and of course some impressive miniatures. You'll be able to fight against the deadly Gravelord Nito for example.

It seems a neat idea that Steamforged has worked with the community in order to produce these Core Sets. This should have ironed out a lot of the kinks found in the original release and made it a game more in line with the digital Dark Souls experience.

More news is coming soon but November is not far away!
