Steamforged Launches Horizon: Zero Dawn Kickstarter 7pm BST TODAY

Steamforged Games are going to be launching their Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game Kickstarter tonight at 7pm BST.
There's very little known about the game currently but from what we've seen teaser-wise it might be focused more around the hunters from the game heading out to bring down some of the robot-dinosaur beasts of the world.
I imagine that Steamforged Games are going to throw Aloy into the mix as well as the main protagonist from the video games so I'd watch out for a special miniature!
Are you going to be keeping a close eye on this one?

As a huge fan of the game, I certainly keep an very close eye on this KS ^_^
Are Steamforged Games among the publishers who do these annoying Early Bird pledge levels?
I don’t remember seeing EBs from them before.
One thing to note, they’ve been among the few Anti-Esclusive KS creators (they even revealed a few things that would only go to retailers during the DS kickstarter).
They did an early bird for godtear (extra champ for people who pledged in the first week), but social stretch goals extended it so that everyone got it in the end.
The Early Bird is 5 pounds cheaper than the normal pledge, both come with an KS exclusive Aloy model.
I know next to nothing about the PS4 game but I always liked the robot design so I might jump ont this as an early bird, I can alwys jump off later.
While I am not really into video game that this is going to be based on I will keep my eye on this KS.
Looks interesting only seen adds for the computer game.
I didn’t think they were that big… This and godtear will leave them pretty stretched…. Is this going to be another Mantic – rule books full of mistakes which have clearly been printed months before they were ready!
The KS comment section is currently surprisingly negative for a game with such an IP, I think. But admittedly there seem to be a couple of red flags: no story mode but one-off games, 20mm scale, delivery delays for the Dark Souls KS, no rulebook during the KS timeframe.
I’m in at the moment, but I remain a bit sceptical.
@dubbidubbi – the miniatures are about 30mm. There’s a post / update page where they say that the confusion was caused by someone giving the measurement of the size of a base as 20mm. The post has photos of them measuring the base diameter and the height of a mini, and it’s about 30mm, 32mm including the depth of the base.
Never played the game, and as a huge fan of SFG I won’t be backing, I think tecent guildball announcement and issues indicate they are trying to do too much.
As an aside I also have a concern they are becoming ks dependant.
The mini’s look great but the game play really doesn’t sound particularly interesting. I’d have preferred a more war gaming style setup with a 3×3 or 3×6 play area. Pick your tribe and gather a (points costed) band of warriors. The games could be based on hunting lodge challenges. The machines are spread across the game area. Your tribe has to be the first to gather x number of shards/resources or take down x number of a specific machine. e.g. taking down a Watcher gives you one shard but take down a Snapmore and its 10 shards, do you take… Read more »
oh look, another boardgame kickstarter. Yes, I do wish to give your company money for promise of a product ten years into the future, after I forget about it. Can we actually have a separate category for KS “news” so I don’t have to browse the garbage along with actual new releases of existing products?
