Steamforge Announce Euthia Aquisition & Diea Partnership
July 1, 2022 by fcostin
Steamforged Games have been busy with one Kickstarter after the next. Whether that be dipping into the frightening and tense world of Resident Evil, or expanding into some pub crawling adventures with their current crowdfunding campaign Epic Encounters: Local Legends.
Euthia: Torment Of Resurrection // Diea Games
Announced yesterday, Steamforged has acquired a new IP which was on Gamefound earlier this year for a reprint, Euthia from Diea Games. Back in May, the open-world sandbox RPG strategy cancelled its crowdfunding whilst it was live on the platform for a reprint, gaining momentum and success before it had a chance to end naturally. Concerned that there were not enough backers to justify the reprint. Recently telling fans long-term, "Euthia will be resurrected with all expansions".
Euthia: Torment of Resurrection provides an open-world experience, similar to video game RPGs. 1-4 players will be taking the role of one of the six heroes trawling across each tile on the modular map. In a fantastical game of adventure, they will uncover monsters and merchants in an open-world role-playing board game. Whether they want to undergo their adventure solo, competitively or cooperatively - the world is the players' oyster to create and explore.

The game was originally announced in 2020 on Kickstarter, with the release last year. However, now that the title is out of print and the return to Gamefound was cancelled. Steamforged has ensured that the game will gain a revival, providing a new IP to the Steamforged portfolio and a partnership for Diea to support logistics.
Heading back to Kickstarter for a relaunch this month, Steamgorged has purchased the intellectual property rights for the title, partnering up with Diea Games. With the resurrection of Euthia from Steamforged Games, the campaign will be live as soon as the 26th July.

The campaign is set to include three different pledges, including all of the previous content on Kickstarter under a new house. Nice looking game.
I own the game from the original campaign. It is very well done good playing game. I look forward to the expansion to support the IP. I hope SFG does it justice and cost is not super expensive.
FYI, the link to the KS landing page is missing.
Everything Euthia leaves me wondering.
I was really put off by the way that they cancelled their extremely funded Gamefound campaign in 48 hours. It looked to me like they were definitely closing shop after that ‘failure.’ So it is good to see someone else picking it up for a second printing (clearly there was demonstrated demand).
On the other hand, I have a hard time getting excited for Steamforged.
On the third hand, Steamforged probably can supply what Euthia needs to thrive- since they won’t be making the core system.
