Star Trek: Away Missions Previews Picard & The House Of Duras
September 22, 2023 by brennon
Gale Force Nine has been showing off the second wave of releases coming to Star Trek: Away Missions to help support their miniature-based board game. The Federation and the Klingons are going to be getting new Away Teams to play with.
Captain Picard Set // Star Trek: Away Missions
The first of these sets focuses on Captain Picard who finds himself diving into an adventure with Beverley & Wesley Crusher, Deanna Troi & the instantly recognisable Geordi La Forge. I wonder if Wesley comes with rules where he is able to Deus Ex Machina his way through all sorts of situations. I really like the miniature for Geordi as well, complete with his kit which will be handy when dealing with engineering emergencies.

If you're looking to bring the pain as the Klingons then you can also pick up The House Of Duras which comes with a whole host of new miniatures.
The House Of Duras // Star Trek: Away Missions
The House Of Duras has you playing as B'etor, Lursa, K'vit, Telok and Toral who are no doubt going to make it pretty darn hard for your opponents as they try and protect their objectives. It's neat to have more of the Next Generation characters popping up and I think even the most die-hard Federation fans find the Klingons pretty darn awesome.

These sets should be coming out later this year so you won't have long to wait before you can dive in and do some jiggery-pokery with your Away Teams and try out something a bit different when it comes to besting your friends.
Which of these two sets are you going to be picking up? I would guess that Captain Picard's team are going to be one of the favourites!

Qapla!
Very much looking forward to these two new sets. I’ve been having a lot of fun painting the main box and expansions so far!
Which will I be picking up, probaly both to ne honest.
And it’s good to see a Federation team with a sacrificial pawn aka Wesley Crusher.
Is it the pictures…or are the heads not as big as in the first wave? Well…one Klingon head is still very big…but all others seam more normal sized.
Thee were kind of spoilered back in the summer already, look forward to though. Good game, bit of a surprise hit of the year with so much potential for the future.
