Justin has dragged Romain, Mike and Scot up in to the studio to play a game of the new expansion for the Spartacus board game. So, time to show off just what happens when the serpents and the wolf come out to play!
Look forward to watching this n the morning!…….. well, I mean, at decent o’clock as its blooming 0300hrs atm. 🙁
Just out of curiosity though. Which one of you is Sparticus? 😉
I was, until I gained too many stones… 🙁
So hopefully see you runnng around the arena. Imagine your awesome wins once march fitness comes into play. 😀
That’s an idea… Beware the ideas of march, though…
LOL, Match fit. Doh!!
I enjoyed the original video with Justin and Warren and have been waiting for my local store to get it in. I will have to see if my store has this in stock tomorrow.
I really enjoyed this video. Nice to see Romain getting a game in, a nice change of pace from all the awesome painting I’m sure.
Loved his little celebration after his first gladiator victory.
I do have to wonder though. Ancient Rome did have razors right??? 🙂
Loved the game so much so that it is the next board game to buy. Also Justin is right with the thumbs up and down. Thumb up is to KILL and thumb down is to suffer the disgrace of the lost fight and LIVE.
actually they had a clenched fist to show not to kill representing a sheathed sword and the thumb in any position represented death it’s a common myth that they involved thumbs up or down at all.
Great fun. Underestimated the subtle schemes of the Romain empire….GG!
first time I’ve seen Romain on a video! looks like the game was a good laugh and i know some people who’d love the treacherous side of it… hehe
I always scanned over this game… It looks so much fun, I am really tempted to get this now.
P.S. Justin is correct. Romans showed thumbs down to allow Gladiators to live and thumbs up to order their deaths.
Wow. The gentleman in the top left has a really bad habit of continuously fiddling/shuffling his cards. That would drive me NUTS if I was playing ….and especially if it was my game…those cards would look like rags by the end of the game!
Actually it wasn’t that noticeable at the table… Thank goodness. Unfortunately, he shuffled his cards right in front of his microphone, hence the horrible noise 🙁
Yeah Romanozo!
Cant believe the Gaul won!! Hehe. Grats Romain. Couldnt help notice that Justin has had a shave. So we can no longer call him Ming. 🙁 Oh well, guess we have to call him a badly groomed Bod instead. Hehe. You know I love you really matey. Really likeing your videos alot Justin. Keep em coming. And nice to see Romain getting some gaming action in. I think we should have more token frenchmen playing in future, but if you could beat him it would be better. If ot at the game, then maybe a big dirty stick? Hehe. Mike… Read more »
Nice vid guys, just so you know you are playing the intrigue phase wrong, the host player goes first and plays one scheme, then play passes to the player clockwise around the table to play a scheme. It continues around the table. Each time a player can play a scheme or pass, if it gets around the table with all players passing then the phase is over.
Also guys watch the tv series some of the characters were terribly pronounced, plus the show is awesome. See you tomorrow.
Are you sure? I doesn’t say that in my rule book… :/
Just noticed Justin… Mike slipped a sneaky “C**k” in (!) during the Jupiter’s C**k discussion. “Bleep, bleep, bleep, C**k!, bleep!” Made me laugh.
Scott seems to be a little too quiet while playing… I would be watching out for him if I played against him…
