Smart Max Releases a Cracking Mini Into the World of Smog

A sinister spy is leaping from the shroud of Smog from Smart Max; Tchukurka, the Whip Cracker.
Smart Max's fantasy steampunk board game of Smog is a real favourite with some of the BoW crew and the awesome miniatures are just one reason why.
To say that this miniature has a great sense of movement is something of an understatement. My one fear is that it looks as if he is only supported by his cane, probably making him rather delicate. Still the sculpt is excellent and he should be hopping onto the smog shrouded streets any time soon.
What do you guys think of Tchukurka?

Cool,a spring heeled jack character , fits the bill in my book.
Just wish that Smog were not 54mm
Having said that this is so cool that it is worth considering just because.
I agree, Spring Heeled Jack is a character I am very interested in.
did a lot of research on Spring Heeled Jack as a side errand in my dissertation due to the cultural phenomena he became. If you are interested I would recommend listening to this podcast which gives a good historical and skeptical view of the figure.

Word to the wise : I’ve seen the miniature, and it’s NOT for beginners ! There is no cane, and no whip included with it. Just a handle for the whip and a pommel for he cane, attached to the hands. And these have a nice pre-made hole. You HAVE to pin it… because the cane IS the pin. It’s completely understandable : given the size of it, there’s no way a rod of resin this size (less than one mm thick) could hope to survive even packing and transport. No cane or whip is a plus if you ask me, with a wee bit of work he could be vaulting a fence or a chimney.
Spring heeled Jack is a favorite mythical/historic character of mine. 🙂
Times like these I’m glad I use steel rod instead of brass for pinning (brass is still great for tubing though for those damnable lance replacements).
Yep that cane is a steel job,if indeed you wanted it to be a cane.
