Small World Of Warcraft Teased At BlizzCon This Year
November 5, 2019 by brennon
It looks like Asmodee and Days Of Wonder have joined forces with Blizzard to bring the World Of Warcraft to Small World. This quick and easy gateway game seems a perfect fit for the battling forces of Azeroth.
This sneaky peek at Small World Of Warcraft was spotted by Joe Wood and shows off a little sample board which reveals the kind of environments you'll be fighting over in the game. You can also see the different tiles for the various races in the game (or at least allegiances) and you then have the standard Small World titles attached to their faction tiles.
The thing that makes Small World cool is that you don't just play as one faction but many over the course of the game, battling until you can justify retiring your old force and picking up a new one. It is full of quick and easy fights and lots of thinking as you work out how best to beat all your foes whilst protecting your lands.
Small World and World Of Warcraft seems like a pretty easy to understand fit. The actual game of Small World is really fun to play and also incredibly accessible, perhaps for World Of Warcraft players who haven't looked at many board games before. This could be a really good entry-level product for someone, a gateway into a wider world of tabletop goodness.
It will be fun to see how things progress with this over the next few months as we head into 2020.

Something to break my addiction to Hearthstone, perhaps.
Definitely worth a second look.
