Harness The Half-Pipe As Skate Summer Comes To Kickstarter!

Pandasaurus Games have just announced their first board game title of 2022 heading over to Kickstarter on the 18th of January. Taking players into the Skate Park with a wealth of different professional skateboarders, in the upcoming board game, Skate Summer.

Putting Bart Simpson to shame, 2-5 players will put their skills to the test to achieve some gnarly and radical tricks to rack up points. By combining familiar mechanics such as card combos, set collection and push your luck, players will earn points by meeting the objectives provided by the game.

These goals do not happen to find themselves in front of the player! They must be outsourced. As part of four phases in a round, after racking up some filthy combos and levelling up abilities, players will head out around the skate park for some new gear and some new goals to achieve.

Right in time for the sunny season? Panasaurus Games have hope to bring the title to fulfilment as early as this Summer. Meaning a quick turnaround for the campaign, and a quicker time for players to get the goods onto their tabletop.

Skate Summer will be added to the crowdfunding site on January 18th. I very much enjoyed a good few titles from Pandasaurus in 2021. With the success of Dinosaur World, Brew and The Loop - I am certainly excited to see what other titles will announce this year from the publisher.

Before the campaign goes live, Pandasaurus are asking for help in naming the Skaters. If you head on over to their social channels, and comment on the image above with your choice of name. Whoever is lucky enough to be chosen, will receive a special Kickstarter edition of the title with all stretch goals. The winners of the competition will be announced on the 14th of January.
