Lagertha steps into the battle for the future of the Aesir and Vanir with her ability to protect her troops. She is able to call on her Shield Wall power which gives a defence bonus to allied units in her area. She can also use a Block ability to force the opponent to reroll dice too. To this end, there are a couple of version of Lagertha in the box.

The first miniature of her comes with a shield at the ready, showing off her role as a protector. She also has a different sculpt where she holds aloft the head of one a defeated enemy.

Both of these look very cool indeed and give you a few different options. It is neat to see that Lagertha has managed to fight her way into the public consciousness thanks to the Vikings TV show. She is certainly an impressive figure in the sagas and whilst she was unlikely a historical figure, she did bring the spirit of Thorgerd to life!
"I. Am. Beowulf!"
As well as Lagertha, the team at Monolith has also previewed the mighty hero Beowulf. This warrior might have been battling years before the golden era of the Vikings but he has been recalled to the battlefield to fight alongside the gods during Ragnarok.
Beowulf Art & Render // Mythic Battles: Ragnarok
Most will be familiar with the tale of Beowulf. A mighty warrior; he was able to defeat the beast Grendel and save Hrothgar's Hall its terror. Gifted with riches he then defeated Grendel's Mother and became a king. Sneaky artwork shows off Beowulf fighting Grendel's Mother so one would assume she is coming down the pipeline too.
Beowulf Painted // Mythic Battles: Ragnarok
With shield and sword at the ready, Beowulf is posed as if he is fending off a terrible foe and getting ready to sink his blade into its guts! As a monster slayer, that is very much the role that Beowulf fulfils on the tabletop.

He can use Hrunting to inflict terrible wounds on his foes in-game that cannot be negated or modified. He can also switch to his sword Naegling which allows you to convert blank dice rolls on his first assault to do maximum damage.

These are all looking really good. @brennon Do you know what the scale will be for the human sized minis?
32mm for the regular human characters. So, a little bigger than your normal toy soldiers.
Those look really good.
Looking really nice. Not getting in on big KS anymore (tired of games getting KS and then no support) but it’s always good to see how the modelling gets better and better
What kind of support you looking for?
The first run of Mythic Battles Pantheon was so huge, I dont think it needed any support after launch. There was already so much that I still havent played all the content to this date.
I haven’t backed Mythic Battles in the past so I don’t have experience of them. I was speaking more generally. I’m also not a big fan of companies that don’t have retail support. I understand the reasons they give but I like to see people who support FLGS rather than not. As I say, I’m done with big KS projects but that’s just a personal preference.
I will back this.
I know I dont need too back it though. Really shouldn’t.
But… vikings. So cool.
Stunning looking figures Lagertha is better with the shield in my opinion. their all be great models to get for gameing.
After all, what’s a shieldmaiden without a shield?
very true.
Nice, but and it is a big but I would have liked to see them in more “period” outfits, armour and why is Beowuld not wearing trousers.
I’ll have to divorce the game from the historical period then it might be interesting
