Get Into Set Collection With Museum Pictura From Holy Grail
March 5, 2020 by brennon
Holy Grail Games are on Kickstarter with a spin-off to the Museum board game. Dive into a bit of Set Collection with Museum: Pictura as you look to curate your own art collection to impress the public.
The game is a standalone experience for two-to-four players which features some stunning painting from history brought to life in card form by Ekaterina Varlamov. The rest of the game has an art deco style which comes from the French artist Loïc Muzy.
The goal of the game is to collect some of the most iconic pieces of art and put them into your gallery. You can decide to organise your collect either by period (Renaissance etc) or Domain (Historical, Mythological, Landscape). Your collections will earn you points based on the right combinations and the person with the most points at the end of the game wins.
As well as just collecting paintings to suit your needs, you also need to reflect the changing art world and bring in paintings which are in high demand. Pick what the public want to see and you could get yourself lots of additional points.
The game is all about collecting what you need and learning when to exhibit and when to move on and search for something new. As a way to get people interested in art and its history plus set collection games in general, this sounds like a really nice board game!
