Scrap The Diseases & Add Cthulhu To Z-Man’s Pandemic
February 3, 2016 by brennon
It looks like we're going to be getting a new version of Pandemic with a Cthulhu twist from Z-Man. It seems like it was going to be inevitable that this happened and I have to admit that Reign Of Cthulhu looking rather good from what we've seen so far...
It looks like the roles of the Investigators will be similar to those of the disease control team in the original Pandemic but with a few twists and some very nice looking models.
Cubes appear to have been replaced by Cultists and there appears to be some reference to the big bad foes from the Cthulhu-verse like the Shoggoth. I imagine these will be big enemies spawned when you'd normally have an outbreak.
It will be interesting to see how this develops as you try to stop a plot from within the city. There also appears to be additional mechanics in place for using dice in the game which was never a part of the original Pandemic. I'm exciting to find out how it plays.
What do you think?

We seem to be getting a weekly Cthulhu release at the moment. It’s not a theme that I’m the greatest fan of but I’ve heard such excellent reviews of the previous versions of Pandemic that I’ll still check this out when it arrives. The board looks gorgeous.
Looks cool, but I’ll stick with Arkham Horror.
Looks to be a pandemic of Pandemic games. And a infestation of Cthulhu games.
I still haven’t played my Pandemic yet (I know, I know – sorry!), but I loves me some Mythos…
