The Lord Of The Rings: Journeys In Middle-earth from Fantasy Flight Games is getting itself another Figure Pack expansion with Scourges Of The Wastes lined up for later this year in Autumn. Alongside the new miniatures, you'll also find a new campaign, Poison Promise for this awesome board game.
Scourges Of The Wastes // Journeys In Middle-earth
This new figure pack contains unique villain figures that can be used with both the Spreading War campaign that came in the big boxed expansion and also the new Poison Promise campaign that is going to be made available alongside the app.

The set allows you to bring villains like Angon and the mighty Witch-King Of Angmar to life on the tabletop. I think the Witch-King is particularly impressive and is going to dominate your journey tiles on that flying stand!
Additionally, this set is also going to come with a new set of player cards to help you out. The Short sword will be able to strike down your foes and the role of "Beast-Friend" will mean you can all animals like the Chittinger Mouse or Nightingale to aid you. War is spreading in Rohan and you'll be needed to stop it.
New Poison Promise Campaign
As noted above, these figures will be useful when playing out the new Poison Promise campaign. Your Fellowship is going to be travelling across Rohan trying to stop the machinations of Angon and then taking on the Orc Chieftain himself.

In addition to that, you'll also be visiting the Entwash Inn during your travels and gathering information to uncover a conspiracy. There are different endings and multiple story paths to follow so each time you sit down to play the game, it should be a little different. A neat reason to keep coming back to the game.
Can you trust the mysterious woman, Eadris and will you be able to stop Angon and his greedy plans to take over Rohan?

Great figures for player’s but not essential for the game?
Not essential no but they do add to the two expansions/campaigns if you want some more fun bits and bobs to play with.
An they will look great on display.
I will buy it to as it’s the last expansion for the game. Got all the others.
