Go Back To The Past With Samurai Jack Board Game
March 19, 2018 by brennon
USAopoly and Project Raygun are working on a Samurai Jack board game that will be out later this year. The game is subtitled Back To The Past and follows the fifth and final season of the show.
"Based on the fifth and final season of the animated series, Samurai Jack: Back to the Past picks up the title character's mission to return to the era before the reign of his adversary, the evil demon Aku. Jack's friends accompany him along a path, comprised of various locations from the series, to defeat villains and finish with the most honour.
Winning requires utilizing allies, traits, and weapons while guarding Jack's sanity, taking players on an unpredictable ride that mirrors the story-rich episodes revered by critics and loved by fans."
The little custom figures that you get for the game are very nice indeed as you'll see below when you get a peek at the components.
Once again, on a bit of a nostalgia trip for today, it's great to see that this game and world are getting the tabletop treatment. Whether or not the game passes muster is another thing entirely, but it's good to see more popular properties being picked up on the physical gaming front.
The game will play with between two and five players and give you some interesting puzzles to solve by the looks of it.
Are you going to be keeping an eye on this one?
