Floodgate Games has announced another new twist on the Sagrada series of board games. Sagrada: Artisans is set for a release next year, adding a legacy twist to the game of window colouring and design.

Daryl Andrews and Adrian Adamescu have added a little bit of a legacy spin on Sagrada this time around, opening up the game over successive outings at the tabletop with new rules and changes to the mechanics.
Sagrada: Artisans Gameplay // Floodgate Games
You will take on the role of rival families of glass artisans who are working on the Sagrada Familia's windows over the course of generations rather than just months and years. As you play, the legacy elements of the game will unlock new abilities and tools that will help you create said windows.
At the core of the game is a new spiral notebook, coloured pencils and your game boards and each will be used in order to influence the future of your games. I do like the idea of taking the core mechanics of a game and then turning it into a legacy project that offers something new from game to game. It works well for Pandemic of course and I think it could be fun to see how it changes things here too.
Have you played the original Sagrada?
