Roll & Write Through Dungeons, Dice, & Danger
February 21, 2022 by fcostin
A new roll and write dungeon crawler is making its way to our tabletops in March, bringing Dungeons, Dice, & Danger from Ravensburger. As 1-4 players make their way around the labyrinth, the roll of the dice determines their fate.
Dungeons, Dice, & Danger // Ravensburger
Players will need to wield their pen and dice to make their way through a wide and vast kingdom, that is full to the brim of loot and monsters. Exploring their way through each bend, explorers must be prepared for many different outcomes and lean of the roll of the dice to determine their path.
In front of them is a labyrinth, as they head across four different realms levelling up as they journey forward. With access to chests, players will find abilities to help them push forward into the classic dungeon trolling ahead.
Back of the Box // Dungeons Dice and Danger
There will be beasts and monsters awaiting across the kingdom, as ferocious animals, dinosaurs, and cultists will stand in the way of the heroes' journey.
The adventure is for multiple adventurers, taking roughly 45 minutes to play through. However, if you are keen to go about your heroic duties on your lonesome - you can play through solo with the scalable difficulties feature.
Roll and write dungeon crawlers are a ton of fun without taking up all of the space on the tabletop. I have played Paper Dungeons from Alley Cat Games and found the premise to be a really relaxing solo head-scratcher. Sat with my hot chocolate on a Sunday, my pencil, dice and the tabletop equivalent of a brain teaser! It's fantastic to see more 'Dungeon Scrawlers' being released.
Have you tried out a roll-and-write dungeon crawler?
