Bargain Basement Bathysphere Heads To Print From WizKids
January 4, 2022 by fcostin
Back in 2018, I managed to stumble across a print and play roll-and-write over on Board Game Geek. As I tend to do a lot of my board gaming solo, and took great enjoyment out of exploring the underwater scape with the handy help of my printer and a few D6s - journeying solo through a campaign in the confines of a cheap and poorly constructed Bathysphere, as players are lowered into the depths to explore.
Bargain Basement Bathysphere - Roll And Write
To my excitement and surprise, Bargain Basement Bathysphere will head over to retail from WizKids, bringing this fantastic title some new life and some new players to journey solo.
Bargain Basement Bathysphere // WizKids
Bringing the new edition to the tabletop without a printer and some handy scissors - players will venture out into Beachside Bay in hopes to adventure down into the depths, in a campaign of pure exploration accounting for damage and oxygen to your rickety old Bathysphere. As the solo player will take the role of the owner of the ancient chunk of metal, as they traverse along with the map in hopes of returning to the surface without dying.
Bringing forth an actually published edition, I am certainly excited for this to reach my tabletop. There is no longer a need for me to get my scissors and glue out (or buy a new printer as mine has run out of ink!), as the new edition will come with upgraded components and new gameplay content. Featuring a 20-scenario campaign across three different maps, players will head off into the deep to meet their objectives under copious amounts of stress with hopes of not dying in the deep.
Bargain Basement Bathyspehere will be headed to retail in April 2022, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the release.
Did you ever play the print-and-play version of Bargain Basement Bathysphere?
