Roll Your Way To Victory With Doppelt So Clever
January 13, 2019 by cassn
Doppelt so clever is the new roll-and-write game from Schmidt Spiele, announced as part of their 2019 catalogue. On their turn, the active player rolls six dice, marks off one which matches on their scorecard, places any dice with lower numbers to the side, and re-rolls any remaining dice. The active player then has the option of choosing up to three dice from their re-rolls, after which the other players can choose any of the set-aside dice to use for their own scoresheet.
The scoresheets are pretty diverse, and getting a dice can unlock a benefit for the next round, making this more than a simple 'bingo-style' game. Doppelt so clever appears to be a reskin of Schmidt Spiele's 2018 game Ganz schön clever, however, this latest reimagining has five new dice-marking challenges and a new action for players to enjoy.
Dopplet so clever will be released later in 2019. Interested fans can keep up to date through the Schmidt Spiele website.
