River Horse Bring More Kaiju & Jaegers To Pacific Rim: Extinction
November 4, 2019 by brennon
River Horse recently released some more expansion content for Pacific Rim: Extinction. There is another Jaeger and another Kaiju in the mix now to add some variety to your city-crushing conflicts.
Kicking things off we have Saber Athena who is a new pre-painted Jager that you'll know from the Pacific Rim film series. As well as the model you'll also get the cards you need to play Saber Athena in-game but you'll still need the core set (obviously) in order to enjoy yourself fully.
Deeper Underground!
Following on from this we also have a foe for Saber Athena to fight against. Here we have the Kaiju known as Hakuja.
This is a burrowing Kaiju which moves through the ground to unleash deadly attacks on the unsuspecting. Again, this is a pre-painted miniature and will come with all the gubbins you need to play. It is rather neat to see them getting stuck into the monster design and playing around with more monstrous foes from the movies.
If you like the clash between titanic creatures on the tabletop then it's well worth giving Pacific Rim: Extinction a look.
Are you going to be picking these up?

fabulous looking figures the Jagers would be great just as ornaments.
I can’t wait for wave 2. The game plays similarly to Star Wars Armada but without any fighters to slow it down. The rules are also straightforward with page number references on the cards. I haven’t had a chance to play with Saber Athena, but it’s cards seem very powerful.
Does anyone know roughly how big that Hakuja model is? It would make an almost perfect proxy for the dragon in the Monolith conan game which I have been unable to buy but have scenarios for.
Does anyone know if they’ve also done minis for Shrikethorn and Raijin? It would be awesome to have all three, and then have a giant release for the mega-kaiju.
