Rebel In The Name Of Revolution In Bloc By Bloc
February 25, 2022 by fcostin
The newest edition of Bloc by Bloc is up on Gamefound, bringing a board game of high demand to the forefront once more. For a tweaked, streamlined and updated ruleset of the riotous and rebellious general public taking to the streets in an uprising of revolutionaries.
The UPRISING is Coming! Bloc by Bloc 3rd Edition Preview // Out Of Order Games
Alliteration aside, Bloc by Bloc is inspired by different protest movements, riots and uprisings that have happened in the 21st Century. As little blocks, players will assume the role of factions: Students, Workers, Prisoners and Neighbors and both cooperate in working against the Police to rebel against changes in their city.

Each game, the game will change, and players will do what rioters do best: stir up some trouble! Players can throw themselves into looting shopping centres, get into scuffles with the fuzz, build barricades and connect and liberate the city from oppression. Fighting fire with fire.
This trouble does not come without gaining a bit of attention, especially when working against the police. Players will have to free the city from peril against the clock before the big guns are sent in and the Military arrives.

Originally released in 2016, Out of Order Games has released the previous editions and they have been quick to fly off of the shelves. They have been putting hard time and effort into building and tweaking for this current definitive version for a year, streamlining aspects, adding components that vary difficulty, and providing a narrative path to develop a choice-driven Liberation deck. They have stated that they have no intention to release a 4th Edition, as they have worked so hard on building this broader experience.
The campaign on Gamefound has got 6 more days on the clock, there are two different pledges to tap into. Whether this is your first time tapping into the world of Bloc By Bloc - you can get yourself the new edition. However, if you already have a first or second edition: you can buy yourself the upgrade pack to add all of the tweaks and features to bring it up to the latest edition.
Hopefully, after this campaign, we can see Bloc By Block to a wider market and this new definitive edition does not go out of print quickly.
Living in Essex and in London, I have seen my fair share of riots. Mostly hoodied-up hoodlums smashing in Debenhams in all fairness... Not for any justice or cause!

This looks great fun
They should include a solo mode where you play as a small business owner desperately trying to defend everything you’ve worked so hard to build from rioters and looters, only to be told by politicians and bloggers, “That’s what insurance is for.”
