Fill The Puzzled Void With Project L Now On Kickstarter!

Complete abstract puzzles with beautiful puzzle components in this latest Kickstarter from game publisher Boardcubator.

In Project L, players must fill the shape in the recessed board using their puzzle pieces. Successfully fill a board to claim points and a new piece. You also get the pieces you used returned to you, allowing you to complete more complex puzzles in the next turn.

Each player can perform three actions on their turn, and actions can be repeated. Take a new piece, take a puzzle tile (players may have up to four unfinished puzzles at any one time), place a piece on a current tile, or take a Master action, which can only be performed once each round.

On a Master action, players can place a piece in each of their puzzles, meaning players can gain multiple points in one move!

Puzzles start simple but get exceedingly more complex as the game progresses. The game ends when all of the most difficult black puzzles have been completed, and the person with the most points wins!

Although this initially looks simple, tile-placement pentaminos are inherently strategic. I love the neo-abstract aesthetic to this Kickstarter; personally, I feel like it elevates the game from simple puzzle game to adult strategy challenge. There's also a print and play on the site, for those who like to try before they buy.

Project L has already tripled its goal and still has 20 days remaining on its campaign. The unlocked stretch goals include new pieces and new puzzles, and Kickstarter backers will also receive special 'ghost' pieces with their game. Back it here.
