Rescue Your Purrfect Pet In The Isle Of Cats

The citizens of Squall's End have long fought against the evil ways of Lord Vesh, who aims to destroy all that is good and kind in their world. Now the people have heard tell of an ancient island filled with ancient creatures which Vesh aims to decimate. These ancient, clawed creatures are known for their elegance, grace, and beaut...oh, that one is licking its arse. Well then.

The Isle of Cats is a fun card-drafting, polymino-placing board game in which 1-4 players must rescue as many cats as possible from their island and bring them back to Squall's End, where I assume some entrepreneurial person has begun building several cat food factories...

Each cat is represented by a unique tile and belongs to a specific family, so you must work to place tiles and fill your boat with cats, while keeping their families together (seriously, Squall's End appears to be entirely populated by crazy cat people).

Draft cards to explore the island, find treasures, study ancient scrolls, manage resources and, of course, rescue your furry feline overlords...I mean, friends...to accumulate points. After five sailings across the water, the player with the most points is declared the winner!

The Isle of Cats a stand-alone game set in The City of Kings universe, however, knowledge of their lore is not essential, and players new to the series can still enjoy this cute kitten caper! The Isle of Cats will be live on Kickstarter on June 25th 2019, but you can follow the countdown through their official launch on Facebook.
