September 2, 2022 by fcostin
Almost Innocent has arrived on Kickstarter from Kolossal Games. Players are sent on a heroic quest to save the lost crown of the emperor but when headed to the local tavern for a cheeky stint at the local boozer and with beer flowing - things begin to get out of hand. Characters find themselves in trouble upon waking and locked up!
Almost Innocent // Kolossal Games
Stuck, imprisoned and the central characters in a disastrous crime, players are being targeted for a murder they did not commit! They must stay put until the trial commences, working together to prove their innocence by deduction.
However, players will not be responsible for their own heads being on the chopping block. To ensure teamwork, you'll be solving the case for your friendly compadres who are hoping to escape that conviction for a crime they did not commit.

Being asked a series of questions provided that will bring all one step towards freedom, players must not only find the culprit in charge of the crime but determine the weapon and location before it is all too late.
Although players may have gone a bit wild at the party, they certainly were not responsible for the killing. Heading through different scenarios, players will be looking for clues to unpack and unwrap the real turn of events on the night of the murder with the hope of seeing all involved free and back in charge of the King’s errands.

Each question will prove beneficial to all across the table, in line with the narrative-driven events surrounding the crime. Through a series of chapters, the game will develop and adapt in difficulty the further the story unfolds and as you rake in new abilities and get a new sense of gumption when it comes to winning freedom.
The Kickstarter campaign was funded at a fast pace and with eighteen days left on the clock to still get involved, there are a few different pledges available. But, if you are an individual then the basic pledge will see you with a core set and stretch goals coming your way for fulfilment in May next year.
