Dark Souls Production In Full Swing From Steamforged Games
January 9, 2017 by brennon
It seems like the Dark Souls Board Game project from Steamforged Games was a massive hit and production for it is mounting up as the models are gathered together for the mountain of sets needed to send out to backers.
You can tell just how much work is going into this thanks to their latest Kickstarter Update which showed off a whole bunch of Ornsteins...
...and Smoughs gathering in the factory. Now that is a LOT of models, wow.
I'm wishing that I'd jumped in on this one myself now as the game really did seem intriguing. The models are hopefully going to be absolutely amazing too as Steamforged are pushing the boat out when it comes to sculpting quality these days.
Did you back this campaign?

I held off as it not the sort of game I’d get a lot of play out of currently. Hopefully that will change this year. The play through from steamcon was really good and with the right group looks a blast. I know nothing about the IP so that purely off of mechanics
I’m not keen on the sculpts to be honest but those pictures alone are a true sight to behold and make me feel like I need to buy more figures asap..! I could run out one day unless
I have a stash like this..
I found the sculpts looked better once you’ve send them in the game. I looked up a few on YouTube to get anew idea of them in action.
@seldon9 looks like my painting table 🙂 .
I got on this one on day one they are looking at delivering a month early to bonus
Wow indeed. It’ll come to retail @Brennon, don’t panic.
p.s. I’m stealing that picture for next time someone asks how my painting is coming along…
I backed out of this in the end I wasn’t totally convinced by the miniatures. I’m glad because the money eventually went on Mythic Battles and Kingdom Death which are definitely more me.
I can see a lot of people having fun with this though and there are a lot of Dark Souls fanatics out there.
