Prodos & Ninja Division Reach Agreement As US Publisher For AvP
July 22, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Prodos Games has reached an agreement with Ninja Division to allow them to become the US publisher for AVP: The Hunt Begins (Alien vs Predator). This is great news for all of those who are looking to purchase this game here in the US and elsewhere in North and South America.
This is even better news for those who are Kickstarter backers as they will also be the ones handling shipping wave 1 of the game and will let you choose the option of picking up your copy at Gen Con. However, if you are not a backer you will not be able to buy it at Gen Con as it will not be made available for sale to the general public.
The news just gets even better as Prodos Games will have some space at the Soda Pop Miniatures / Ninja Division booth at Gen Con to display their other products. Which is important to note that Prodos Games other games will still be handled by them and sold directly by them. This means I just might get my hands on some Warzone Resurrection.
Is this good news?

i have the box already in my hands… trust me… it’s totally worth it!^^
I’m still waiting for mine…
Out of curiosity @badula did you get yours retail or are you a kickstarter backer?
I’ve yet to hear that any kickstarter backers that have received theirs aside from those who attended the UK con they were at in May.
I was at the Con but all KS copies went on the Friday before I could collect mine on the Saturday morning. I’d been positive and patient throughout the campaign but my feelings soured when I saw the game turn up in local FLGSs (and cheaper too) a week or so ago. Disappointed in Prodos about that but at least they were apologetic about it in a recent message to backers.
I’m sure I’ll love the game when I eventually get my hands on it, but it has left a bitter taste.
Wasn’t there an agreement between the two concerning relic knights as well?
Even though all my friends have gotten their retail copies and I am still waiting on my KS copy, I’m glad to hear there is a distribution partner in the US because I think the game will be really big over there and I am sure SPM will be in a position to help meet that demand. Now if only this partnership could result in a Chibi Alien, Predator and Marine for Super Dungeon Explore..
Does this mean we get Chibi Aliens? I really would love that!
the game is good (Ive played it once) the models are excellent. I would have liked a bit more love in the grphics department on the cards and tiles (functional) but not FFG standard which is a shame…
Guess us Australian backers will still be waiting for another couple of months…..
You probably will be able to buy it retail long before you get your shipping. Looks like backers are once again suckers, which is becoming a Kickstarter disease.
I was at wintercon in Canberra Australia on the 18th and to my surprise I did see a copy for sale in a store. I am also a backer in this, but I was also a backer in robotech, so I am not surprised that the backers are getting done over again. This seems to be the way of kick starters, i am soooo over kick starters and now I avoid them.
Well my Christmas shopping is done.
I was already backing Mars attacks and Shadows of Brimstone when this was on kickstarter so could not afford it at the time but my FLGS was able to order in a copy for me, all was great apart from one if the stalkers missing an arm and a leg so emailed Prodos and had replacements within a week along with another whole stalker free so I can’t falt them really
Am I the only one who feels bad, missed the kickstarter, but my preorder arrived before most backers get theirs?
Well it looks like a great game, but then again I wouldn’t know, because I am still waiting for my ks box to ship. Don’t want to rush Prodos as I’ve only been waiting 2 years !!!! Lol.
Apparently, AVP’s second wave of products have been cast and packaged, however they never got the OK from Fox. This does not bode well and yet again another embarrassing cock-up for Produs.
Chris Conan Mackonis I live in canberra Australia, I was a backer of robotech rpg tactics. It was a poor run KS, It look years just to get the first wave and I got it after other stores and dealers did. I am still waiting for the rest of the mini’s that I ordered…. Now! I told myself, OK this is a one time thing it won’t happen again, AvP looks to be a much better organized Kick starter. HA!!!! I can’t belive this is happing again. I was at a wargames covention last weekend, I walked up to a… Read more »
I hope Prodos feel ashamed by their ineptitude and conduct, AVP has been a complete and utter f**k-up. Interestingly, my local gaming store is already selling the box-set at a discounted price.
Be nice if UK kickstarter backers got their games, you know we only helped fund it an all!
