Privateer Press Incarcerate You in Level 7 [Escape]

Privateer Press are all about Colossals at the moment but check out this pretty neat looking board game, Level 7 [Escape] from them. It certainly has a great theme...
In Level 7 [Escape] you play a group of prisoners locked away on the horrifying laboratory level of Subterra Bravo. You must escape and free yourself from the terrors within while evading human and inhuman enemies. On top of all that you have to contend with your fellow prisoners. Will you work with them to escape, or leave them in the dark. Fear is the key here...
It certainly looks like the components are up to scratch and the theme is awesome as I said. The game reminds me of a Hollywood film or even the Butcher Bay games with Mr Riddick in them. I am seriously interested in seeing more about this game!
What do you make of this new board game?

Survival horror gaming looks set to be big this year – Zombicide, Sedition Wars, Project Pandora and now this. The fact it doesn’t seem to have minis like those other games may disappoint some, but remember that Warmachine started as an RPG, so give it some time and we may see this IP develop into something more. Certainly the box contents look sharp and the ‘fear’ mechanic is intriguing and should set the scene well if done right…looking forward to more info.
Is it me or does the alien in the circle on the right look like he’s giving us the peoples eyebrow?
Minis would be great but I think PP doesn’t want to get ahead of themselves- with the colossals and gargantuans already in the production line, I can see why they’d hesitate adding a whole new set that are specific to a new IP that might not catch on, and even if it does we’ll only buy one box.(except the hoarders who’ll buy a second one to actually play with)
I wonder if this will be a prelude to a new game?
PP have said (at lock & load) that there will be no mini’s with THIS level7 release, they also said that they have plans for mini’s with future releases.
I must admit my initial thought was that while I love this kind of concept and it looks really good the grey style aliens seemed a tad unthreatening. Compared to the likes of Incursion’s Nazi Zombies, Sedition War’s Strain .. and on to the obvious film example of the Xenomorphs. Thinking about it a bit more though if you are playing as an unarmed (to start with?) prisoner then those 3 examples I’ve given are probably too lethal to make the game fun unless handled very carefully with lots of tricks/traps to help you escape an enemy that totally outclasses… Read more »
