Steamforged Games is now taking pre-orders for both the core game and expansion for Resident Evil 3 - The Board Game. You'll be able to dive into a clash between Jill Valentine and her companions and the terrifying Nemesis!
Resident Evil 3 - The Board Game // Steamforged Games
At its heart, Resident Evil 3 - The Board Game is a one-to-four-player cooperative experience where you fight through the survival horror scenarios of the video game. The core gameplay remains the same as that in Resident Evil 2 but of course, you'll have an array of new foes to face as you wander the streets of Racoon City.

As you can see, you get a bunch of goodies as part of the boxed game. The neat element of gameplay that has always been a draw for me with the Resident Evil games is the Tension Deck. I like that added "mutation" that you can add into the mix that plays off how well (or bad) you're doing during a scenario.
Jill Valentine // Steamforged Games
Of course, you also get loads of miniatures for you to paint up. Jill Valentine leads the way as she seeks to evade and avoid Nemesis. Nemesis itself is looking particularly impressive with that trademark rocket launcher at its side!

As long as you can do a good "Staaaars" impression then you're basically sorted for this game. It would be neat to hear from some folks who have played the Resident Evil board game series to see if it is still making its way to the tabletop.
New Resident Evil 3 Expansion
As well as the core game above, you can also pre-order the first expansion for Resident Evil 3 - The Board Game. City Of Ruin is also available to pre-order ahead of the release at the end of October.
City Of Ruins Expansion // Steamforged Games
Included within this box you'll find nine new scenarios, three terrifying new enemy types, and two massive bosses for you to face down on the tabletop. Additionally, there are added locations and new mechanics for you to work out as you play.
City Of Ruins Components // Steamforged Games
You'll be able to explore City Hospital, City Park, the Dead Factory, and more whilst facing off against Sliding Worms, Hunters, and more. I don't think I'd want to meet Nemesis Stage 3 on a dark night or the Adult Grave Digger. Some brand new weapons might also be included to help you out.
Are you going to be picking Resident Evil 3 - The Board Game up for yourself this year?

A fantastic game will be interesting to see the board version played out.
Steamforged track record for board games seems a bit patchy. But hey, people seem to buy this stuff just for the plastic, so who cares.
