Let’s Play: Sheriff Of Nottingham
December 28, 2017 by thisisazrael
In this boardgame Az, John, and Justin take on the roles of merchants trying to sell their wares in the bustling city of Nottingham. Loading up their bags with honest goods like apples and cheese is an option, however, if temptation strikes, they could decide to bring in some contraband, like crossbows and mead.
One problem though, as each turn the Sheriff of Nottingham will stand in their way and decide whether or not their declarations of goods is honest or warrants further investigation. Perhaps a well-timed bribe will see them safely through or perhaps the Sheriff will catch them red handed.
Do you think you'd be able to play by the rules or would getting one over on the old Sheriff be too tempting?

That move with the deal to let anything go through for a 2 coins a card was such an obvious trap. Brilliant move though, I’m surprised it worked.
Heh heh heh what a cheeky little game …..Quite enjoyed that
Great game, my group loves to play this. We have made two mods.
1) I made poker chip money because we like the clanking of the chips for money to add effect
2) Instead of the cardboard player marker, we pass around a crown that the person has to wear when he/she is sheriff. Even when we introduce new players they get a kick out of the props.
I got to play this for the first time at the GenCon rental library and it was a blast to play. It’s now become a crowd favorite.
This game would be great in are group.
Dammit! Now I’m sold on this game! Kudos As!
haha <3 it really comes alive when you have 4-5 players taking part 🙂 Az
