Today Justin and John are joined by board game boffin Az for a playthrough of Colt Express from Ludonaute.
It's high noon in the studio as the marshal has his hands full trying to stop these guys from robbing the Colt Express.
Each of the three bandits has their own special abilities that can affect the outcome of the round but this game involves reading the other players just as much as the cards.

I love this game. My only problem with it is the fiddliness of picking the loot and the meeple from the inside of the train with my big fingers.

Love this game! It is one of my go to gateway games that I intro to non-game board people and it is always a hit.

It’s an amazing gateway game indeed and if you’d like a slightly deeper experience there’s a couple of expansions. I’d definitely recommend the Stagecoach as it adds extra movement and shooting choices, horses to jump on and off and just a lovely sense of speed as you ride along the side of the train. Az
Great fan of this game. Only played the base version but it’s got a nice flow to it and always finds a way to bring together funny moments when your programmed movement goes wrong.

Cool little game, I did have it in my hand a few hours ago, but I do not buy games in Toy’s R Us – not only a matter of pride, but also to support games stores. I know that you can argue that if they sell games they will stock then and get more into the hobby, but still …
I might have to get it later, for the rules cards etc. and long term make a 28th version. ..
