See How The Piratical Heroes Are Shaping Up For Rum & Bones
May 14, 2015 by brennon
Over on the Rum & Bones Facebook Page they've shown off what some of the production pieces that will be going into their board game of adventure on the high seas including such stars as Captain Daniel Pale & The Sea Dragon...
A Crew Of Characters
A whole range of characters have been shown off for this successful Kickstarter campaign and while the details aren't quite as crisp as they appeared during the campaign they are very good board game components with plenty of detail to them. I wouldn't be upset if they turned up in my retail copy...
The variety of different characters in this game is huge and they obviously added a lot more through stretch goals and the like during the campaign. It's nice to see that there's some Far Eastern Pirates mixed in with the regular Undead and such that we're now very much used to seeing.
According to the creators the images have washed out some of the finer detail but you should expect them to be in line with the quality you've seen in Zombicide. As I said earlier these are board game components, not miniatures for wargaming so the quality was never going to be as crisp.
What do you think?

On kickstarter they just published the primed versions that look far more glorious, unfortunately in these initial pics they looked kinda soft compared to the original metal counterparts
yeah, the primed minis look much better don’t they 🙂
also the lighting used here is very strong and directly in front, so that isn’t great for photos of pvc plastic 😛
… that’s why none of the shadows seem to be directly under the minis 😛
top lights are always best for these kind of photos 😉
Those look rather nice.
They sure look like miniatures to me, and great ones at that :-).
good enough for my war gaming table.
CMON must have received similar feedback and posted two pictures on the KS page with primed production models. The details become more clear and I, for one, am looking forward to painting them when my KS bundle arrives.
