Pilfering Forces Previewed For Lazy Squire’s Stormsunder
January 30, 2020 by brennon
Lazy Squire Games has been previewing more of the models which are going to be finding their way into their epic board game, Stormsunder. This time around we're taking a peek at the Sandskimmers!
The storm that has ravaged the land has meant that many factions from this world have been devasted but the Sandskimmers have been able to capitalise on it. They roam the outskirts of the storm with their magical runetech vessels, robbing and pillaging from hapless travellers before vanishing back into the Inali Desert.
It seems like there are a lot of different creatures who have joined the Sandskimmers from this minotaur above through to this rather rakish looking pirate and his monkey friends.
The models they have been working on are really fun and absolutely packed with detail. Of course, the proof will be in the pudding as with all projects like this but it seems like Lazy Squire has been doing all that they can in order to get the best quality miniatures into their game. If they are able to bring as much detail as the renders into the mix for the final product then they would paint up very quickly with contrast paints.
It seems like you're going to be running into all sorts of atypical Fantasy factions and characters in this game which is really nice to see. I always like seeing games where they play with the format of Fantasy and make it their own.
What do you make of these new previews from Lazy Squire Games?

Nice
Taking the historic term ‘powder monkeys’ to its logical conclusion in a fantasy setting – nice ^^
Magitech sand pirates? Cool!
Ooh they look good.
Ooh, another candidate for my Minotaur collection! Let me guess — “not sold separately”?
@necrodemion At first I thought the minotaur was from Zealot Miniatures, as they are very similar, even the pose. I have a bunch of their ballista wielding minotaurs and a battering ram and they are superb. Highly recommend the entire line
