Pick Up New Expansions & Adventures For Super Dungeon Explore
May 19, 2017 by brennon
Growing their delightful chibi world on the tabletop, Soda Pop Miniatures and Ninja Division has been showing off some of the new releases from this month over on their webstore.
First off we have the Super Ninja Ambush boxed set which brings in a lot of the characters and warbands from Ninja All-Stars so you can use them in a new scenario! Here's a lowdown...
"Thanks to unique team building elements, Super Ninja Ambush! is incredibly versatile. Players can use all the included miniatures to create Ninja All-Stars themed games of Super Dungeon, use the included air and earth ninja in games of Ninja All-Stars, and even hire out any of the three ronin for their clans in standard and league play games of Ninja All-Stars."
That does seem rather cool, that you can use them across the two games. The models for this also look fantastic and it would be cool to see them painted up and ready for a game!
Warbands
Talking of cool looking warbands we also have these two new sets. If you're into your dragons and fiery encounters then you can pick up the Claws Of The Wyrm Warband Box.
"The Claws of the Wyrm enforce the Dragon Priests' will among the unruly Kobolds and bring death to their enemies. The Dragon Blades are sworn foes to all draconic creatures. They are ruthless foes and particularly skilled when facing their most hated foe—dragons."
This set gives you a hero, ready to fight against the forces within the dungeon and then an array of bad guys for you to tackle too. I think this is a great format for expanding on the game as it gives you a sense of purpose with each one, wanting to tackle these creatures in particular.
The idea also carries over into the second Warband Box, Mistmourn Coast.
"The Mistmourn Coast is a haunted land perpetually shrouded in mist and gloom. Few creatures dare call this realm home, for the fickle fae creatures that dwell within are capricious and prone to deadly pranks. The troll tribes that dwell here are surprisingly intelligent for their kind, and have developed a deeply shamanistic society."
Again, here you get yourself a new hero and also a pile of awesome looking monsters for you to play around with. Those Trolls do look fantastic! Additionally, they have pointed out that these characters and beasts could be used both in regular games or using the PvP format.
Super Dungeon Arena
Talking of alternative methods and modes, Super Dungeon Arena is also now available for you to snap up.
"Super Dungeon: Arena is an alternative game mode for players to use with their existing collection of Super Dungeon models. In Arena, two players each take control of a mighty warband consisting of one Hero, one mini-boss, two spawning points, and the spawning points’ associated monsters.
These warbands then do battle against one another in a challenge known as a scenario. Each scenario has its own unique rules and victory conditions, which require a warband to use its abilities and strengths in new and clever ways."
As we were mentioning above this brings in the warband aspect of things and will face off using the likes of the monsters and more that we saw above. It gives things a different edge and would be fun to play in gaming stores and clubs I reckon.
What do you think of the new releases?

I am so going to want all of those.
I don’t think SPM’s announcement made it clear, but these are all reprints. They must have run out of stock on all of them (yeah, I’ve already got them all, I’m just not finished painting them yet).
SDE Arena is so much fun to play.
I’ve seen many of these before. Must have updated cards or something.
Probably updated to work with SDE 2.0 which is due out next year once Kickstarters are fulfilled.
