Osprey’s The King Is Dead Board Game Now Available
September 21, 2015 by brennon
Osprey have now released their first board game, The King Is Dead, set after the fall of King Arthur when a power vacuum struck and everyone was vying for control of Britain. It certainly looks like a lot of fun and could well be one of those games you could set up in the pub to play...
In the game you don't play one particular faction but instead a Lord or Lady looking to work behind the scenes to win enough political clout and martial support to claim regions of Britain.
In this way the game is one of risk and reward where you have to choose the right time to exert your political pressure and when to hold back and let others control the land. It also plays quite quickly so you can always give it another go once you've been beaten!
Will you be getting this?

Played it at our local games store on Saturday. A simple fun little game, but with a lot of tactical options. Highly recommended.
I’m a sucker for all things Dark Ages. I’ll bite!
Me too and being Osprey good value for money
