Get A Look At Osprey Games’ Rulebook For Village Rails

Osprey Games has now released the rulebook for their upcoming game, Village Rails. A game of locomotives and local motives, this seems like a really neat tableau-building card game featuring gorgeous artwork and cunning tactics.

The Rulebook for Village Rails is now available to download from BoardGameGeek and comes in at a slim twelve pages! The idea of the game is that you'll be trying to construct the best set of rails within the confines of your gaming space, making the most from completed journeys as you please the locals and other travellers.

I think the neat thing about the game so far is the way that you're going to have to plan ahead and think about the best way to make the most of the cards on offer. You're not going to be able to please all of your travellers so you'll need to make tough decisions on some of your journies!
What makes the game all the more pleasant a prospect is the wonderful artwork by Joanna Ross.

A bunch of the watercolour artwork has been shown off by Osprey Games, giving a hint as to what we'll see on the cards when we crack open the box. I think this looks exceedingly charming and it softens the tactical thinking present in the game itself.

It is well worth getting a closer look at Village Rails so you can plan ahead. I am totally going to be picking this up when it comes out towards the end of September, very close to Essen SPIEL!
Have you got space for another smaller game in your collection?

If I could scale it up to a full 4×4 table then maybe I could get him to play
I’m stoked 😉
You do your best work under pressure then Lloyd?
