Orcs Must Die Video Game Gets Board Game Adaptation!

Orcs Must Die is a hilariously fun game where you play as a hero trying to stop waves of Orcs from getting to your Rift Crystal (home base). It's an awesome play on the whole idea of the tower defence game and will soon be getting its own board game from Petersen Games!
The game is for one to four players and sees you fighting on various maps of scaling difficulty. Each map gives you new opportunities to lay traps and use your items, plus powers from your own character board, to stop the Orcs (which will be cool miniatures!) from reaching their goal. If it's anything like the video game it's going to be very frantic indeed.
Above you can see some of the examples of this where you've got interesting layouts and ways of funneling the Orcs towards your particular traps in order to make them die in spectacular fashion, as they game would have you do!
'Skulls' earned by killing the Orcs can be used to buy yourself new traps or upgrade existing ones but as you upgrade so do the enemies. You'll have to plan well to stop the green tide!
Interestingly there are going to be two versions of this board game coming out where one of them adds another four players to the game and makes it a huge team fight where you're actually pitting two armies against each other!
This sounds insane and it should be fun to see it pop up on Kickstarter!

I will be interested to follow this, I love the pc games and think it could make a very cool co-op game as well.
