Only The Smallest Will Survive In Plaid Hat’s Aftermath
June 7, 2019 by cassn
A big disaster creates the littlest of heroes, as your crafty crew of courageous critters survives the apocalyptic future in new adventure book game Aftermath!
Designed by Jerry Hawthorne (Mice and Mystics, Stuffed Fables), in Aftermath, you and your friends take on the role of small creatures struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The humans have mysteriously vanished, and the once human-dominated civilization is now being reclaimed by nature - and those small animals which inhabit it.
In this scenario-driven campaign, players will take on the role of a band of characterful critters known as 'providers':
There's the guinea pig with anger issues, a hamster that talks fast and drives faster, a small mouse with keen eyes and a lot to prove, and a mysterious vole who's borderline feral. These characters each have their own personalities, play-styles, and personal goals.
Taking on one of these roles, you will venture out of the colony into the danger of an abandoned world and complete one of 27 story-driven missions.
Return to your colony with food and information, and grow your home through building new developments and improvements with the resources you find. But beware, this world is a dangerous place, and bandits and predators lurk around every corner!
Aftermath will be released at the end of 2019, but curious critters can check out the rules and pre-order the game over on the Plaid Hat Games website.

Looks cute
Love mice and mystics, just got involved in the scurry comic kickstarter too – love me some PA mouse action!
Sounds great.
I absolutely love stuffed fables, its something that got all my family playing board games again. It opened so many doors to get them playing; so much so that my wife actively looks for anything like this.
This is definitely something I’m going to look into picking up later this year.
I played Mice and Mystics with my kids. They did and still do love it. I will be checking this out.
