Last Chance To Get Warhammer Quest: Cursed City Expansions
December 12, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop has announced that there is going to be another chance for you to get your hands on the expansions for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Available on a Made To Order basis, both Nightwars and Nemesis will be available for a short period but once that slams shut, that appears to be it!

Both Night Wars and Nemesis offer up miniature-less expansions for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. In Nightwars, a variety of other vampires seek to fill the power vacuum left by Radukar after you sent him packing at the end of Cursed City.
In Nemesis, the streets of Ulfenkarn are running red with blood as old foes return and more of the dead begin to rise from their graves as the city crumbles around you. Both Night Wars and Nemesis require you to buy the miniatures separately although if you have a Soulblight Gravelords army already, you might be in luck.

So how is this going to work? Nightwars and Nemesis will be available to buy with no limits (Made To Order) between 17th and the 27th December ONLY. The order period will come to an end at 8am GMT on 27th December and that will be that.
This does mean that rather than a very limited release, anyone who wanted to get their hands on the expansions for Cursed City can do so, maybe with a bit of Christmas money set aside. Alas, the core game doesn't seem to be available anymore although it is worth having a look at your friendly local gaming store as they often have a couple of copies sitting around.
With Warhammer Quest: Cursed City taking quite a bit of time to complete as it is, I don't see these as essential expansions for the game but it's nice that the option is there.
Will you be snagging these expansions before they are gone?

Can’t help but think this game has been one big fluff up by GW…almost…like it’s cursed…
To be honest I’ve not looked into this game much apart from the great terrain for it.
I bought Cursed City, but regret it. Primed the minis. Looked at the rules. And that’s about it. Sitting in the box until I need some undead for a more interesting game.
My copy of Nemesis arrived over the weekend so now I can take my time picking up the additional bits that are required for each.
So GW created expansions for a minis game, but decided to do that with no minis… THEN proceeded to create artificial scarcity in an attempt to exploit the FOMO-weak among gamers & collectors? It really is sad they are the 800 lb. gorilla in the room of our hobby.
I’m glad they are doing these again as I got Cursed City when it first appeared and I have taken the shrink wrapping off and that’s as far as it got. I wanted the expansions (if only to because I have the base game) but missed the first one.
Maybe one of these days I’ll paint them up.
$100 for a few pieces of paper. You cannot play the second expansion without the first so you must buy both. And, for $100 you get zero miniatures. In the meantime, during Black Friday, you can purchase the current season of Underworlds and the last season of Underworlds for $100. You can purchase Nemesis the Board Game which includes 26 miniatures and 300+ cards and 150 tokens for $100. There is no value to these expansions unless you have full FOMO or Completionist diseases where a part of you hurts if you do not purchase these expansions. This is completely… Read more »
Not worth it at all. Especially not with price that GW has given for it.
