As well as venturing deeper into the Mortal Realms the folks at Games Workshop are also delving into the grimdark world of Necromunda too. The new book and miniatures for the House Of Chains will be dropping this weekend.

So, what is in the books? Well, this is a new breed of book that the folks at Games Workshop are dropping into the mix for Necromunda which acts like a Codex or Battletome might do for their mass battle games. Included within you'll find new lore, ways to play the game, unit types for you to play with, wargear to fire up and more. The focus for this particular book is on House Goliath in particular.
This means that you're also going to get some new models for House Goliath with this plastic kit. Here you can see the new Goliath Stimmers & Forge-born models which give you some eager and hulking options for your gang.
The set comes with all manner of options for building these new additions to your gang and you'll also find a lot of customisation options in the mix too for tinkering with your existing gang. So, if you're looking to pick up House Goliath as your warband of choice then you might want to check out this book.
No Respite Comes To Blackstone Fortress
As well as tales to tell in Necromunda you'll also find a new option for those delving into Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress. No Respite has you facing off against the forces of Nurgle.
Adventure In Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress @ Store.OnTableTop
In this adventure, you'll not only be battling against Nurgle's minions but also the plagues that follow in his follower's wake. You will be trying to stop the spread of decay within the Blackstone Fortress as you get stuck into a new quest with everything you need to play it out.
You'll now be facing off against Plague Marines and Poxwalkers whilst also unlocking access to hidden treasures which might help you tackle this Chaos threat.

Hmmmm, so does this mean the previous Goliath Gang tactics cards are obsolete due to the new rule changes (as happened with the Gang War books 1 through to 4)? It’s getting impossible these days to work out which bits of the rules are still valid, and which have been updated. The basic Hardback rulebooks and Gangs of the Underhive already have whole sections of the rules outdated by the three Hardback Rulebooks that were released afterwards. @phaidknott what in the Book of Law, Ruin or Peril means the core two rules books are outdated?
Each of those books adds;
New gangs
New weapons/trading tables (black market)
New campaign types and campaign territories (which can’t/have limitations on what can be combined with the traditional campaign).
Terrain rules
So I am at a loss as to what they outdate in the core books?
Love the look of the goliath gang.
I’m kind of surprised they’re doing the Death Guard expansion for Blackstone now, I’d have thought they would do that sooner with all the ETB Nurgle stuff out there. And despite all the controversy surrounding the new Goliath releases, I really love the look of the new gangers and hope I’ll be able to add them to my existing Goliath gang sometime soon.
