Not long ago, we took a look at the new Oh Brother! expansion coming to Stuffed Fables, adding a new adventure bringing new whimsical characters along with.
Oh, Brother! Expansion // Stuffed Fables
With the new arrival of a baby brother, comes the new arrival of precious toys. To protect the baby brother from harm, newcomers Pokey the Unicorn and Manny are here to save the day, and keep their humans safe from the unknown darkness that lurks under the bed.
Oh, Brother! Expansion Characters // Stuffed Fables
Everybody had that most cherished cuddly toy that they took everywhere when they were a child. Never did I imagine my favourite toy "Mutsy" to act as a guardian when I was in my slumber. But Pokey, is the new baby brother's favourite toy. Pokey's playstyle is really interesting as unlike any other toys in the core game, she does not require an equipped weapon as the horn placed at the peak of her charge is already equipped on her head.
Pokey is not just a great ally for the fight - unleashing a ruthless Charge ability, she is a great ally for the defence too! She can help assist her compadres, by using her abilities strategically such as the Glitter and Rainbow abilities allowing the player to use the dice in their favour.

You don't see many action figures around nowadays! This is why I was delighted to see a character which boasts of being from "another age". Manny was one of the father's toys when he was younger meaning he is made of a strong plastic material and does not have the stuffing inside like all other characters in the game.
Due to his rugged exterior, his make-up can make him a powerful and resilient character to have on the board. His plastic build allows him to be immune from certain incoming conditions and abilities would be just as you expect from a herculean looking toy. He is able to gain one extra heart with his main ability Motivated and is best suited for a clash on the tabletop.
Now that we have had a closer look at the characters, are you more drawn to Pokey the Unicorn or Manny?

My copy arrived this morning! Excited to open it up and take a look!
I absolutely love Stuffed Fables! These characters look like a great addition to the game. Both characters seem fun to play, but since I tend to prefer melee combat (and I share his name), I think I’d try out the action figure before the unicorn. 😀
My son is 7, and he’s a fan of Stuffed Fables. I’m glad that he enjoys playing this game because he could easily take an iPad and play some mobile games there, but he prefers to play board games. I believe that he enjoys Stuffed Fables even more than toys from kickstarter, and that’s pretty impressive. I have to say, sometimes this game becomes just too much, and usually, it happens when my son asks to play it for the fourth hour a day. I get that it’s his favorite game, but he still needs some breaks.
