New HeroQuest Expansion! Rise Of The Dread Moon Coming Soon

Hasbro Pulse is now taking pre-orders for the new expansion that has been designed to match the look and feel of the updated HeroQuest that hit tabletops a little while back. Rise Of The Dread Moon is a new Quest Pack that will have you set up for more epic adventures with this Fantasy classic.

Some background on this new addition to the HeroQuest saga...

"The dramatic story of treachery and unrest in the elven kingdom continues in this HeroQuest Rise of the Dread Moon expansion! As a brave knight, you’re challenged to finally free Elethorn from the clutches of Zargorn. Embark on dangerous quests, as you seek the aid of the Cadre of the Raven's Veil to help stop Zargorn's forces of Dread from destroying the kingdom. Navigate through a dark labyrinth of waterways, an underground city, and more perilous locations."

The set comes with ten new quests for you to immerse yourself in alongside twenty-nine new plastic miniatures. You also get all of the tiles and additional bits and pieces you'll need to set up your new adventures in Rise Of The Dread Moon.

This continues the story that began in The Mage Of The Mirror where you'll be there to free Elethorn from Zargon's vile clutches. You will need the core HeroQuest game in order to play this but it'll be great for those that are totally sold on HeroQuest and those classic Sword & Sorcery style adventures on the tabletop.

Miniatures-wise, the game also comes with loads to choose from including Elven Warriors, Dread Cultists, Specters and a Dread Wraith. I like the additional plastic terrain that you get in the set and the new hero miniatures for the Knight.
