Gamewright and Matt Leacock's new board game in the "Forbidden" series should be making its way to your friendly local gaming stores very soon. Forbidden Jungle has you abandoned on a distant moon where you need to do what you can before the sinkholes claim you!

Forbidden Jungle - Gamewright

Forbidden Jungle // Gamewright

This series of games from Leacock have always been great family games and fun cooperative adventures on the tabletop. I played a lot of Forbidden Island back in the day and then a lot of Forbidden Desert as well! I didn't get a chance to dive into Forbidden Sky although it did seem to do some neat things with the game mechanics familiar to most folks.

Forbidden Jungle Components - Gamewright

Forbidden Jungle Components // Gamewright

Forbidden Jungle has you diving back more tile-flipping and memory-based adventures as you look to find the different components for the transportation portal and get it up and running. Despite having an age rating of ten-plus, these games are still just as intriguing for older gamers, especially on higher difficulties.

I really like that we're seeing tweaks coming through in gameplay where you'll end up facing all manner of strange creatures. These baddies are actively out to get you and introduce a brand new threat to your Forbidden games which haven't been seen before. If you're interested in learning a bit more about Forbidden Jungle and the design process, Leacock put together a piece over on BoardGameGeek.

Will you be picking up Forbidden Jungle for your family game nights?
