DO Talk About Needy Cat Games’ Upcoming Robot Fight Club
January 7, 2020 by brennon
Needy Cat Games are now getting ready to delve deeper into their new game, Robot Fight Club this year. Kicking things off, the team look at reintroducing you to the game in case you've not heard about it already!
The game has already been going through a bit of testing at various events but here is what you need to know about it...
Robot Fight Club is for two players where you begin by building two custom robots by buying parts from a Scrap Sale. You will then get stuck into a number of clashes called Bouts. Players will have to move their robots around the board, activating as many systems as you can and of course inflict enough damage to deactivate your opponent's robots! Winners score Match Points and once you've got two, you're the champion.
The game seems fun and easy to play, giving you a nice little game to play with over lunchtime and against a few different opponents to see who is the best creator and battler. It looks like there are plenty of options in the mix here too meaning that you can tinker with your set-up until you find one which really works for you.
The idea is that Needy Cat Games will be looking to launch their Kickstarter for the game early this year so, watch this space to find out more about it. It will certainly be fun to learn more about gameplay and the intricacies of it all in the coming weeks and months.
Will you be keeping an eye on this one?

Sounds a lot like RoboRally https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/18/roborally
From day one we’ve gone to great lengths to make sure it’s a very different game! RoboRally is an all-time favourite of mine, and we weren’t interested in duplicating it in any way. We’ll be getting some gameplay videos up in the near future, and hopefully they’ll make it clear how different this is.
(Now I wanna play RoboRally.)
Real steel the board game then?
That was definitely among the influences!
may well be worth a look then.
