Mythic Games Head Gamefound With Rise Of The Necromancers
December 21, 2021 by fcostin
Ready to raise the dead? Mythic Games have teamed up with Sore Loser Games to head on over to Gamefound! Mythic is bringing Rise of the Necromancers over to the Phoenix Line. Giving the undead marionettes the front stage, along with the addition of a brand new sea-bound expansion.
The Phoneix Line from Mythic Games partners up with smaller publishers across the industry, which members of the team at Mythic have played, loved and enjoyed themselves. Allowing these games to reach a broader audience, and gain some more love and attention from the wider audience of Mythic Games.
Rise of the Necromancers // Mythic Games & Sore Loser Games Gamefound
Headed over to Gamefound in 21 days, Rise of the Necromancers, its existing expansion Dawn & Demons, and the brand new expansion, Undead Sea will be launched by Mythic.
If you have never heard of Rise of the Necromancers before, 2-5 players will need to get their heads into gear of strategy. Taking the role of a sinister Necromancer, stealing hope and power from those in their wake. With the ability to traipse through dungeons with an eye for loot, manage undead armies fresh from the ground to eventually gain enough power to have wiped out rivalling necromancers, and gain complete dominance.
The game plays out in roughly 45-120 minutes - depending on how many of you are involved! As players control their necromancer miniatures across the board, controlling the undead in their wake with force, abilities and spellcasting.
The previous expansion, Dawn & Demons adds a new layer of fantasy terror to the mix. The undead may wake, however demons cause havoc. Adding the ability to journey cooperatively and solo, along with summoning a serious set of demons. The expansion changes features of the game adding more replayability.
In the new expansion Undead Sea, players will take to the high seas, with a brand new board to discover new locations. Visiting and conquering islands via boat, players will meet new enemies of the deep to turn to the side over pure evil.
Rise of the Necromancers will be the second title added to the Phoenix Line, after The Enchanters’ success on Kickstarter. Mythic Games will be headed over to Gamefound instead of Kickstarter in January, ready for fulfilment by the close of 2022.
Have you played Rise of the Necromancers and look forward to the revival?

All aboard the black pearl.
Good to see Mythic and now many others going to Gamefound instead of Kickstarter.
Honestly, I’m not sure what makes Gamefound better than Kickstarter, but a lot of people seem keen on this switch.
I think they’ve been working with Gamefound as their PM before, so there are probably back-end benefits.
